The team operates in a supportive, mentorship-focused environment with a strong technician and client service presence, ensuring doctors are set up for success. Facilities include an on-site surgical suite, dental capabilities, digital radiography, in-house laboratory, and modern anesthesia and monitoring equipment. An on-site boarding service enhances continuity of care and client relationships. The practice is appointment-based with Saturday availability and a steady, well-paced caseload.

The Role
- Serve as the clinical leader, setting standards for medical quality, patient care, and client experience
- Split time primarily between hands-on clinical work and leadership responsibilities
- Mentor and develop associate veterinarians; foster a positive, high-performing team culture
- Partner with the Practice Manager on medical oversight, workflow, and quality improvement
- Maintain and refine protocols, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion a culture of safety
- Manage a varied small-animal caseload: wellness, dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, urgent care, and internal medicine
- Appointment-based schedule with a shared Saturday rotation; full-time position with a minimum of 35 hours per week
- Exercise medical autonomy while collaborating closely with skilled technicians and client service staff

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Active Rhode Island veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Active DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- 3–5 years of clinical experience as a practicing veterinarian
- Prior leadership experience preferred
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Strong communication, team-building, and client-service skills
