The Role
- Perform comprehensive exams, medical workups, and develop diagnostic and treatment plans
- Provide client communication and education with clarity and empathy
- Conduct diagnostics including in-house lab testing, radiography, and ultrasound as appropriate
- Perform general surgery and dentistry; ensure high standards of anesthetic monitoring and perioperative care
- Maintain accurate medical records and oversee appropriate pharmacy duties and controlled substance protocols
- Collaborate closely with practice leadership on priorities, protocols, and workflow improvements
- Monitor hospitalized cases and participate in rounds to support consistent, high-quality care
- Contribute to a positive team culture; provide guidance to technicians and assistants
- Support community engagement and relationships with local rescue organizations

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active Colorado veterinary license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain and maintain)
- 1+ year of experience in a veterinary practice
- Strong medical, surgical and dental skills, with excellent communication and teamwork
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Authorization to work in the United States
