Veterinary Medical Director

Global Talent Partners is excited to present an opportunity for an experienced Veterinarian to step into a Medical Director position with an established, AAHA-accredited small animal practice in Memphis, Tennessee.

This role combines hands-on clinical medicine with genuine leadership responsibility, giving you the opportunity to influence medical standards, mentor fellow veterinarians and support clinical development across multiple local sites. Working alongside practice management, you'll help shape a positive clinical culture while continuing to manage your own medical, surgical and dental caseload.

About the Practice
This AAHA-accredited small animal practice provides comprehensive veterinary care within a collaborative, client-focused environment. The clinical team is supported by credentialed veterinary technicians and experienced client service professionals, allowing doctors to focus on high-quality patient care and effective case management.

The practice handles a broad range of cases, including:

The Opportunity
As Medical Director, you'll remain actively involved in clinical medicine while taking responsibility for the continued development of medical standards, doctors and clinical operations.

Your role will include:
•Providing clinical leadership across multiple local sites
•Maintaining your own medical, surgical and dental caseload
•Setting and maintaining high standards of patient care
•Developing and reviewing clinical protocols and workflows
•Mentoring and coaching fellow veterinarians
•Leading doctor meetings and collaborative case discussions
•Supporting DVM recruitment, onboarding and development
•Partnering with practice management on hospital performance
•Reviewing clinical and operational performance indicators
•Supporting equipment and inventory planning
•Promoting accurate medical recordkeeping
•Overseeing appropriate controlled substance protocols
•Supporting compliance with AAHA and regulatory standards
•Helping resolve complex or escalated client concerns
•Creating a positive, collaborative and learning-focused clinical culture
This position is particularly suited to an experienced veterinarian who enjoys mentoring others and wants greater influence over clinical standards and hospital development while remaining closely involved with patients and clients.

Compensation & Benefits
•Base salary up to $170,000
