Veterinary Medical Director

Global Talent Partners is excited to present an opportunity for an experienced Veterinarian to step into a Veterinary Medical Director position at an established companion animal hospital in Los Angeles, California.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a veterinarian who wants to continue practicing medicine while taking greater responsibility for clinical standards, veterinarian development and the continued success of the hospital. You'll have meaningful medical autonomy alongside an experienced support team, accessible practice leadership and a culture built around collaboration and mentorship.

This established, appointment-based small animal hospital has developed a strong community reputation and provides comprehensive general practice medicine within a collaborative clinical environment.

Veterinarians are supported by experienced technicians and client service professionals, helping maintain efficient workflows and allowing doctors to concentrate on medicine, procedures and client communication.

The Opportunity

You'll maintain an active general practice caseload while providing clinical leadership across the hospital.

Key areas of responsibility include:
•Lead and mentor veterinarians and support professionals
•Maintain high medical and patient-care standards
•Guide clinical protocols and best practices
•Support collaborative case discussion and clinical development
•Provide guidance on more challenging cases
•Foster a positive, learning-focused team culture
•Partner with practice leadership on hospital operations
•Support efficient scheduling and clinical workflows
•Contribute to equipment and resource planning
•Help establish CE and professional development priorities
•Maintain an active medical, surgical and dental caseload
•Build strong, long-term client relationships

The position provides the opportunity to influence the hospital's clinical direction while remaining actively involved in patient care, making it suitable for an established veterinary leader or an experienced clinician ready to take the next step into formal leadership.
