The Role
- Provide comprehensive wellness and sick-patient exams and develop diagnostic and treatment plans
- Manage a general practice caseload with opportunities to see daytime urgent-care cases as appropriate
- Perform routine soft-tissue surgery and dental procedures; orthopedic opportunities may be available depending on experience and scheduling
- Utilize in-house imaging and laboratory resources; coordinate referrals and advanced imaging as needed
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, providing education and follow-up care plans
- Maintain accurate, timely medical records and uphold hospital protocols, including pharmacy and controlled-substance procedures
- Collaborate with technicians and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care
- Contribute to a respectful, team-oriented workplace and participate in rounds or case discussions when scheduled

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active Tennessee veterinary license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- At least 1 year of clinical experience in a veterinary practice preferred
- Proficiency in general medicine, surgery, and dentistry; strong diagnostic skills
- Excellent interpersonal and client communication abilities
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and perform duties that may require bending, kneeling, or standing for extended periods
