The Role
- Provide triage, stabilization, and comprehensive emergency/urgent care for small animals
- Perform diagnostic workups, including imaging and laboratory testing, and develop treatment plans
- Perform emergency surgery and procedures within the scope of experience
- Manage hospitalized patients and ensure timely, compassionate client communication
- Collaborate with technicians and support staff to deliver efficient, high-quality care
- Communicate with referring veterinarians to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as part of a shared schedule

Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice in North Carolina
- Eligible to work in the United States
- Excellent clinical communication skills and a team-focused approach
- Emergency experience is welcomed; mentorship available for early-career doctors
