The Role
- Perform comprehensive exams, medical work-ups and preventive care
- Interpret diagnostics and manage treatment plans; perform general surgery and dentistry
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about diagnoses and options
- Maintain accurate, timely medical records and prescription protocols
- Collaborate with technicians and client service teams to optimize patient flow and care
- Participate in daily rounds, quality protocols and ongoing training
- Contribute to practice improvements in partnership with hospital leadership
- Other duties consistent with a high-quality, team-based small-animal practice

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- License to practice (or eligibility to obtain) in California
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain and maintain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Strong clinical skills; surgical and dental proficiency preferred
- Excellent communication, teamwork and client service skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of clinical practice, including lifting up to 50 lbs
