The Hospital
This full-service small-animal practice is known for compassionate, client-centered care and a collaborative, supportive team. Veterinarians work alongside experienced technicians and dedicated client service staff in a learning-focused environment that values mentorship and professional growth. The hospital provides comprehensive services in preventive care, dentistry, internal medicine, and surgery (including soft-tissue and orthopedic), supported by:
- On-site diagnostic imaging and in-house laboratory capabilities
- A dental suite and a surgical suite with modern anesthesia and patient monitoring equipment
- Infusion and patient-monitoring devices for perioperative and critical care
The schedule features weekday day shifts with limited Saturday rotation and no Sunday clinic hours, supporting work-life balance while maintaining continuity of care for patients and clients.

The Role
- Conduct comprehensive patient exams, develop diagnostic and treatment plans, and provide client education
- Perform general surgery and dental procedures with skilled technical support
- Utilize diagnostic imaging and oversee in-house lab work to guide case management
- Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to controlled substance protocols
- Collaborate closely with technicians and support staff; participate in daily case discussions and monitor hospitalized patients
- Contribute to workflow improvements, inventory stewardship, and equipment care
- Flexible part-time schedule with weekday day shifts, limited Saturday rotation, and no Sunday clinic hours

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Current license (or eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in Texas
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a veterinary practice
- Proficiency in diagnostics, general surgery, and dentistry
- Strong teamwork, communication, and client service skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Authorization to work in the United States
