Global Talent Partners is excited to present an opportunity for an experienced Internist or Emergency Veterinarian to join a leading 24/7 specialty and emergency hospital in Tysons Corner, Virginia as Specialty Medical Director.

Combining advanced clinical medicine with hospital-wide leadership, this position offers the opportunity to influence medical standards, mentor doctors and continue managing complex cases within a highly collaborative specialty environment.

The Opportunity

As Specialty Medical Director, you'll combine an active clinical caseload with responsibility for the continued development of medical standards across the hospital.

Key responsibilities include:
•Provide medical leadership across specialty and emergency services
•Maintain an active clinical caseload and manage complex cases
•Develop and monitor medical protocols and quality standards
•Promote collaboration between ER and specialty teams
•Lead doctor meetings and multidisciplinary case discussions
•Support intern education, mentorship and clinical development
•Oversee medical record quality and continuity of care
•Improve case handoffs, rounds and communication between services
•Oversee controlled substance and pharmacy protocols
•Evaluate clinical workflows from intake through discharge
•Partner with hospital leadership on strategic planning
•Contribute to equipment, inventory and capital investment decisions
•Support ongoing quality and efficiency improvements

Flexible scheduling is available, including 3- or 4-day workweek options, providing greater flexibility alongside the responsibilities of senior clinical leadership.

Compensation & Benefits

•Compensation up to $310,000
