The Role
- Provide same-day urgent care for dogs and cats, including triage, stabilization, and management of non-routine conditions
- Interpret diagnostic findings and develop treatment plans that balance medical needs with client communication and education
- Perform procedures common to urgent care, such as wound care, laceration repair, abscess management, pain control, and basic soft-tissue surgeries as appropriate
- Collaborate closely with emergency, general practice, and advanced services teams to ensure seamless patient care and case continuity
- Utilize modern workflows, including virtual triage and efficient client communication systems, to manage caseload effectively
- Maintain thorough medical records and uphold evidence-based standards of practice
- Contribute to a respectful, learning-focused culture that supports technicians, assistants, and fellow doctors
- Participate in a shared schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- License to practice veterinary medicine in Utah, or eligibility to obtain
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and client communication skills
- DEA license or eligibility to obtain
- Prior experience in urgent care or emergency settings is valued, though motivated new graduates with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply
