The Role
- Provide emergency and urgent care for small animal patients, including triage, stabilization, diagnostics and treatment.
- Utilize on-site tools such as in-house lab testing, digital radiography and dental radiography to guide case management.
- Perform and assist with soft-tissue emergency procedures and anesthesia, supported by certified technical staff.
- Manage hospitalized patients, including monitoring, pain control and clear medical documentation.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners, offering compassionate guidance and clear discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with the general practice team and coordinate referrals to the established specialty partner when indicated.
- Uphold low-stress handling standards and contribute to efficient, team-oriented workflows.
- Relief scheduling with availability for daytime, swing and overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays as preferred.

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Active license (or immediate eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in Colorado
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA license (or eligibility) as applicable
- Prior small animal emergency or urgent care experience preferred
- Proficiency with common emergency presentations, soft-tissue procedures, anesthesia and inpatient care
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to low-stress, team-based medicine
