The Role
- Provide emergency and urgent care for small animals across triage, stabilization, diagnostics, and treatment
- Manage critical patients, develop care plans, and perform emergency procedures as appropriate
- Utilize in-house lab, imaging, surgical suites, and isolation facilities to guide timely case management
- Collaborate closely with credentialed technicians and support staff to deliver efficient, low-stress care
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners about diagnostics, options, and follow-up
- Ensure accurate medical records and effective handovers for continuity of care
- Contribute to and uphold anesthesia, analgesia, and patient-safety protocols
- Cover swing, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled; additional relief shifts available

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Eligibility for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in Colorado
- Authorization to work in the United States
- DEA registration (or eligibility) for controlled substances
- Prior emergency or urgent care experience preferred; strong new graduates with ER-focused training considered
- Proficiency with triage, stabilization, and common emergency procedures; comfort with anesthesia and soft-tissue interventions
- Commitment to low-stress handling and excellent client communication
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-centered environment and work swing/overnight schedules
