The Role
- Provide overnight emergency and critical care for small animals, including triage, stabilization, diagnostics, and treatment.
- Manage a varied caseload spanning cats, dogs, pocket pets, and exotics.
- Perform or coordinate emergency procedures and soft-tissue surgeries, as appropriate to experience.
- Utilize on-site imaging, laboratory, and monitoring tools to drive timely care decisions.
- Oversee hospitalized patients overnight and ensure seamless handoffs to day teams.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients and collaborate closely with specialty and primary care colleagues.
- Full-time schedule consisting of three 12-hour overnight shifts.

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree (or equivalent)
- License to practice veterinary medicine in Colorado, or eligibility to obtain
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Overnight availability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Strong clinical judgment, commitment to low-stress handling, and excellent client communication
- DEA licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
