The incoming Medical Director will lead a service that delivers broad primary care and select advanced procedures, supported by a full complement of clinical and client-service staff.
- On-site capabilities include an in-house diagnostic lab, radiology/x-ray with dental radiography, an in-office surgical suite with anesthesia, an intensive-care area, an isolation ward, an in-house pharmacy, and equipment for endoscopy and video otoscopy.
- Case variety spans wellness and preventive care, dentistry, general surgery, internal medicine, pain management, and hospice/palliative care.
- A robust support structure includes registered veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, client service professionals, kennel/pet-care staff, and grooming.

The Role
- Provide medical leadership, set clinical standards, and guide evidence-based protocols
- Mentor and develop veterinarians, technicians, and support staff; foster a positive, team-first culture

- Oversee quality assurance, medical record standards, and patient safety
- Collaborate with practice management on workflow, scheduling, and resource planning

Requirements
- DVM/VMD (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- License to practice veterinary medicine in Iowa (or eligibility to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Proven clinical proficiency; leadership or mentorship experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills
