The Role
- Lead medical quality and set clinical standards, protocols, and best practices across small- and large-animal services
- Provide hands-on clinical care, including examinations, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry
- Mentor, coach, and develop veterinarians and medical staff; foster a collaborative, learning-focused culture
- Partner with hospital leadership on budgeting, equipment planning, and service-line development
- Ensure accurate medical records, appropriate controlled drug management, and timely communication among doctors and with clients
- Address client concerns professionally and support strong referral and community relationships
- Guide recruitment and onboarding of veterinary team members
- Support compliance with applicable veterinary practice and workplace safety regulations
- Participate in a shared on-call rotation consistent with a hospital offering 24/7 doctor-on-call coverage

Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an accredited institution
- License (or eligibility) to practice in Wyoming
- DEA registration (or eligibility) and thorough understanding of controlled drug protocols
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- 3-5+ years of clinical experience, including strong surgical and dental skills
- Proven leadership, communication, and team-building abilities
- Comfort with mixed-animal practice; large-animal experience welcomed
