Veterinary Medical Director

The Role
- Provides medical leadership and oversees clinical quality, ensuring consistent, high-standard patient care.
- Develops, implements, and continuously improves medical protocols and quality assurance initiatives.
- Mentors and trains veterinarians with a dedicated focus on new graduates and internationally trained professionals.
- Leads a structured preparatory program supporting internationally trained veterinarians in readiness for the Clinical Proficiency Exam (CPE).
- Ensures full compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Collaborates with practice leadership on clinical operations, workflow optimization, and strategic goals.
- Serves as a resource for complex cases and supports clinical decision-making across the team.
- Maintains an active caseload as a practicing veterinarian.

Requirements
- DVM (or equivalent) with eligibility for licensure in Ontario
- Eligibility to work in Canada
- Minimum 5 years of clinical experience
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentorship experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to clinical excellence, team development, and regulatory compliance
