The Role
- Provide medical leadership, uphold clinical standards, and champion a high-quality, progressive approach to patient care.
- Maintain a clinical caseload in general practice, including wellness, dentistry, and soft-tissue surgery.
- Four-day work week with no on-call.
- Guide medical protocols, oversee record quality, and ensure appropriate handling of controlled substances.
- Collaborate with hospital leadership on budgeting, inventory, and evaluating equipment needs.
- Mentor and coach veterinarians and support staff; lead DVM recruitment and candidate interviews.
- Ensure regulatory compliance, including state practice act, OSHA, and applicable accreditation standards.
- Foster a positive team culture, support excellent client communication, and address escalated concerns.
- Monitor key performance indicators and partner with hospital management to achieve goals.

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active Kentucky veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain)
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- 3 to 5+ years of clinical experience with solid diagnostic, surgical, and dental skills
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and team-collaboration abilities
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds
