The Role
- Lead, coach, and retain associate veterinarians across assigned hospitals, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Balance leadership with clinical care; serve as a working manager delivering high-quality medicine during designated clinical time
- Set and uphold medical standards; review records and cases; provide feedback and training to elevate quality and consistency
- Partner with practice managers to meet clinical quality and operational goals while supporting positive client experiences
- Oversee onboarding and development programs for newly hired doctors, including hands-on skill building in surgery and dentistry
- Support recruitment and hiring efforts; provide an excellent experience for candidates and student learners
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including controlled substance oversight and radiography safety protocols
- Address escalated medical concerns, guide complex case planning, and champion preventive care and client education
- Monitor medical equipment needs and maintenance; prioritize requests to support safe, efficient care
- Full-time, hospital-based position with some weekend and regional travel between assigned sites as needed

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree and current (or eligibility for) Pennsylvania veterinary license
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA registration (or eligibility)
- Proven proficiency in general practice, including routine surgery and dentistry
- Demonstrated leadership ability with experience mentoring, coaching, and managing medical standards
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; comfort with electronic medical records
- Ability to travel between hospitals within the local area
