The Role
- Full-time Chief of Staff position combining leadership (approximately 20–30%) with clinical practice (approximately 70–80%)
- Lead, mentor, and develop veterinarians, technicians, and support staff; foster an efficient, positive, and compliant clinical environment
- Partner with practice management on scheduling, workflow optimization, budgeting, quality metrics, and hospital performance
- Guide client service standards, team communication, and hospital meetings; help resolve escalated client concerns
- Deliver high-quality medical care, including comprehensive wellness exams, vaccinations, microchipping, dental care, routine screenings, and treatment plans
- Perform surgery as appropriate and within established protocols using standard medical instruments
- Champion preventive medicine and wellness membership plans; utilize digital tools for records and client communications
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to all regulatory and hospital policies

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Current license (or eligibility) to practice veterinary medicine in Missouri
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Proven clinical proficiency; prior leadership or mentorship experience preferred
- Comfortable with preventive-care workflows, client education, and digital practice tools
- Willingness to work a rotating weekend schedule
