The Role
- Full-time Area Chief of Staff with responsibility for leading and developing associate veterinarians across assigned hospitals in Phoenix
- Serve as a working manager, spending a portion of time in clinical practice while providing day-to-day medical leadership
- Drive consistent, high-quality care that is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable
- Partner with practice management to deliver hospital performance goals and continuous improvement initiatives
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and coach veterinarians; build a strong leadership bench and succession plans
- Validate clinical standards through medical record reviews, quality assessments, and patient-safety event follow-ups
- Ensure regulatory compliance, including controlled substance management and radiation safety
- Manage medical equipment needs and maintenance planning across assigned sites
- Champion access to care, service excellence, and proactive client communication
- Support schedule coverage as needed, including some early mornings and weekends, to meet community demand

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Active Arizona veterinary license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Proven clinical competence in general practice, including routine surgery and dentistry
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and elevate medical teams
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, retail-adjacent clinical environment and traveling between local hospitals as needed
- Willingness to work some early mornings and weekend shifts
