The Role
- Full-time, hospital-based leadership position with dedicated clinical time
- Lead, coach and retain associate veterinarians; foster an inclusive, collaborative culture
- Uphold medical quality and patient safety through chart reviews, case discussions and mentorship
- Provide direct patient care across wellness, dentistry and general surgery
- Partner with practice management to meet clinical and operational goals, including client experience
- Oversee onboarding and skills development for newly hired doctors, tailoring support in clinical, surgical and dental areas
- Support recruitment and engagement with students/externs and the local veterinary community
- Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations, controlled substances management and safety protocols
- Manage medical equipment needs and maintenance in partnership with leadership
- Address escalated client concerns and support access to care
- Travel between assigned Cincinnati-area hospitals as needed

Requirements
- DVM/VMD from an accredited veterinary school
- Active Ohio veterinary license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- DEA registration (or eligibility) and thorough knowledge of controlled substance protocols
- Proven small-animal clinical experience, including dentistry and general surgery
- Prior leadership or mentorship experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills; comfort with digital medical records and client tools
- Ability to work daytime hours with some Saturday coverage
- Eligibility to work in the United States
