The Role
- Full-time Chief of Staff position with approximately 20-30 percent leadership and 70-80 percent clinical responsibilities.
- Lead hospital operations in partnership with practice leadership to ensure high-quality medicine, excellent client service, and team engagement.
- Mentor and develop veterinarians, technicians, and support staff; foster a positive, collaborative culture.
- Oversee scheduling, workflow, and daily hospital efficiency; support safe, organized clinical areas.
- Deliver comprehensive clinical care, including wellness and preventive services, diagnostics, treatment planning, dentistry with dental imaging, routine surgery, and end-of-life care.
- Utilize on-site digital imaging and in-house laboratory testing for timely diagnostics.
- Provide clear client communication, thorough medical recordkeeping, and appropriate follow-up.
- Support service offerings for small mammals and select exotics as appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and hospital policies.

Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an accredited institution.
- Active Ohio veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start).
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- DEA license (or eligibility to obtain).
- Proven clinical proficiency in small-animal medicine, routine soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry; comfort with digital radiography and in-house diagnostics.
- Prior leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to high standards of care.
- Availability for a schedule that may include early, late, and weekend shifts.
