The Role
- Provide high-quality medical care for routine and urgent appointments
- Oversee surgical and medical cases handled by veterinarians to support excellent outcomes and clear client communication
- Review, refine, and implement clinical protocols aligned with current standards and regulatory requirements
- Partner with practice management to guide the veterinary team, elevate client experience, and uphold clinical excellence
- Foster a strong culture of teamwork, constructive feedback, and continuous improvement
- Monitor key operational and financial indicators to identify opportunities and celebrate wins across the team
- Lead recruitment efforts for veterinarians and students; engage with externships, referrals, and career events
- Coach and mentor DVM students and early-career veterinarians, providing structured teaching and feedback
- Adapt effectively to urgent cases and support smooth triage and care transitions

Requirements
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Veterinarians of Ontario
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Proven experience as a lead veterinarian with demonstrated medical leadership
- Strong capability in updating and standardizing medical protocols
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with clients, colleagues, and the community
- Confident managing urgent cases and guiding teams through change
- Commitment to team-based medicine and mentorship
