The Role
- Provide medical leadership, set clinical standards, and uphold high-quality patient care
- Maintain an active caseload across wellness, illness, and same-day urgent care for dogs and cats
- Perform routine soft tissue surgery and dentistry; ensure best practices in anesthesia, analgesia, and patient safety
- Mentor veterinarians and support staff; lead regular clinical meetings and promote continuing education
- Champion low-stress, patient-centered handling and clear, compassionate client communication
- Partner with hospital management on scheduling, workflow, inventory, and client experience initiatives
- Utilize in-house diagnostics, imaging, and the surgical suite for efficient, same-day workups
- Full-time schedule typically built around four 10-hour shifts; hospital open Monday-Friday 8:00am-6:00pm and Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm

Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent from an accredited institution
- License to practice veterinary medicine in Colorado, or eligibility to obtain prior to start
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Proven small-animal clinical experience with competency in surgery and dentistry
- Leadership or mentoring experience preferred; strong communication and teamwork skills
