Veterinarian

An excellent opportunity is available for an Associate Veterinarian in Fayetteville, NC, offering compensation of up to $150,000 and a 4-day, approximately 33-hour working week.

Join a busy, well-equipped small-animal hospital where strong clinical support, advanced diagnostics and genuine autonomy allow you to focus on delivering excellent medicine.

The Hospital
This established small-animal hospital operates from a modern, purpose-built facility designed to support an efficient clinical workflow and a diverse caseload.
•High support-staff-to-doctor ratio, allowing veterinarians to focus on clinical care
•Dedicated areas for feline and large-dog patients
•Separate ICU, surgical recovery and isolation spaces
•Digital x-ray and ultrasound capabilities
•Strong internal medicine and diagnostic workup capabilities
•Comprehensive dentistry and preventative healthcare
•Soft-tissue and orthopedic surgical capabilities
•Busy walk-in model providing exposure to a broad variety of medical and surgical cases
•Streamlined client check-in and established systems designed to keep appointments moving efficiently
•Collaborative environment that gives experienced veterinarians the freedom to practise with clinical autonomy
The hospital would particularly suit a veterinarian with a strong interest in internal medicine and diagnostic imaging. Proficiency in abdominal ultrasound is highly valued, while experience with or an interest in echocardiography would also be welcomed.

The Role
You will manage a varied small-animal caseload covering preventative medicine, diagnostics and more complex medical presentations. With experienced support staff around you, you will have the resources and autonomy to investigate cases thoroughly rather than simply moving patients through the hospital.

Responsibilities will include:
•Providing high-quality general practice and preventative care
•Managing internal medicine cases and performing thorough diagnostic workups
•Performing and interpreting abdominal ultrasound
•Managing complex cases with strong technician support
•Working collaboratively on dentistry, diagnostics and surgical cases
•Supporting soft-tissue and orthopedic case management
•Communicating clearly with clients regarding diagnostics, treatment plans and ongoing care

Benefits
•Salary up to $150,000
•4-day work week, approximately 33 hours per week
•3 weeks of paid vacation
•High support-staff-to-doctor ratio
•Salaried compensation with a longer-term productivity incentive
•401(k) with company match
•Medical, dental, vision and life insurance
•Continuing education allowance
•Dedicated CE days
•Paid North Carolina veterinary licensure
•Professional membership and dues support
•Professional liability coverage
•Relocation assistance for qualifying candidates
•Employee assistance and wellness resources

Location

Its position along I-95 makes travel straightforward, with Raleigh and the Research Triangle within reach and Fayetteville Regional Airport providing convenient connections through major hubs. The area's large military presence also contributes to a stable and diverse local economy, while comparatively accessible housing costs can make it an appealing alternative to North Carolina's larger metropolitan areas.
