The Hospital

The hospital operates Monday through Saturday, with consistent daytime hours and a shorter Saturday, supporting predictable work-life planning. The Role
- Lead, coach, and develop all hospital support teams to foster trust, accountability, and a culture of excellence.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and train team members; conduct performance check-ins and formal reviews.
- Build and manage staff schedules; oversee timekeeping and payroll accuracy; achieve labor targets.
- Partner with veterinarians to optimize workflow, elevate client service, and maintain high standards of patient care.
- Oversee daily operations, including front-desk service, safety protocols, and facilities upkeep.
- Manage purchasing, inventory controls, vendor relationships, and invoice accuracy.
- Track financial performance (revenue, labor, and key metrics), support budgeting/forecasting, and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure proper billing practices and charge capture; support accounts receivable and local accounting processes.
- Maintain compliance with applicable policies and safety standards; support license and documentation tracking.
- Address escalated client concerns with empathy and sound judgment.
- Work some Saturdays and occasional holidays as needed to support the team and service standards.

Requirements
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Texas licensure as applicable to the role: if a DVM, active license to practice in Texas; for non-DVM managers, any required Texas credentials for veterinary practice administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or a related field preferred; equivalent education/experience considered.
- At least 5 years of office or operations management experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and the ability to learn practice-management software.
- Excellent communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills; strong customer-service mindset.
- Comfortable working around animals and standard veterinary hospital materials; able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed and perform duties requiring extended standing or computer use.
- Flexibility to support occasional weekend and holiday coverage.
