The Role
- Lead, coach, and develop the hospital’s non-DVM teams, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and excellent client service
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and train staff; conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback and development
- Build and maintain staffing schedules for technical and administrative teams; coordinate with the medical team to optimize coverage
- Oversee daily operations, client experience, and adherence to safety and quality standards
- Manage budgets and financial performance, including revenue, labor, purchasing, and facility maintenance
- Oversee inventory control, vendor relationships, ordering, and cost management
- Ensure accurate billing, charge capture, and daily financial reconciliation; manage local accounting processes
- Monitor timekeeping and labor metrics; address overtime and compliance
- Develop and maintain policies and standard operating procedures; ensure regulatory compliance
- Resolve client concerns with empathy and professionalism; support community engagement and growth initiatives
- Flexibility to work some weekends and holidays as operational needs require

Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Bachelor’s degree in business, health science, or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered
- At least 5 years of office or practice management experience, including 2 or more years in a supervisory role
- Strong customer service, written and verbal communication, and team leadership skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and practice management or related software
- Financial and analytical acumen, with strengths in planning, prioritizing, and decision making
- Comfortable working in a clinical environment around animals and cleaning agents; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring standing and computer work
- License to practice in Mississippi, or eligibility to obtain, as applicable to the role
- Eligibility to work in the United States
