The Role
- Perform comprehensive examinations, develop diagnostic and treatment plans, and manage a varied caseload (wellness, sick, and urgent cases during regular hours)
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, providing education and follow-up
- Utilize in-house diagnostics, including laboratory and ultrasound, to guide patient care
- Perform soft-tissue surgery and dentistry; ensure appropriate pain management and post-operative monitoring
- Maintain accurate, timely medical records
- Prescribe medications and adhere to controlled substance protocols
- Contribute to team rounds, case discussions, and continuous improvement of hospital protocols
- Support an efficient, positive team culture and participate in training and quality initiatives
- Flexible scheduling options available, including three-day, four-day, and 3/4/3 rotations

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active California veterinary license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- DEA registration (or eligibility to secure prior to start)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Strong clinical, diagnostic, surgical, and dental skills
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of clinical practice, including lifting up to 50 pounds as needed
