The Role
- Provide high-quality small-animal preventive medicine, including wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention, and client education
- Perform general surgery (such as spay/neuter and routine soft tissue procedures) with a focus on patient safety and pain management
- Deliver dental care, including cleanings, extractions as appropriate, and use of dental radiography
- Interpret digital radiographs and in-house laboratory results to create clear diagnostic and treatment plans
- Partner with technicians and support staff; provide direction that enables the team to work at the top of their capabilities
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners; maintain accurate, timely medical records
- Support a regular daytime schedule with participation in a weekend rotation
- Uphold practice standards, safety protocols, and a positive, team-first culture

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active California veterinary license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA licensure or eligibility preferred
- Competence in routine surgery and dentistry, with a commitment to preventive care
- Strong communication, teamwork, and client-service skills
- Willingness to work some weekend shifts
