The Hospital

The caseload is primarily dogs and cats, with the option to see birds and other small companion species depending on experience and interest. The hospital operates by appointment and strives to accommodate urgent cases during regular clinic hours when possible.

The Role
- Perform comprehensive patient exams, medical workups, and preventive care
- Develop diagnostic and treatment plans; interpret laboratory and imaging results
- Perform general soft-tissue surgery and dentistry
- Deliver clear, compassionate client communication and education
- Maintain meticulous medical records and uphold controlled-substance protocols
- Collaborate in daily case discussions and contribute to hospital standards and protocols
- Support a positive team culture, coaching and partnering with technicians and assistants
- Option to see select exotics/pocket pets based on interest and experience

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Current (or eligibility for) California veterinary license
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Strong clinical, surgical, and dental skills; excellent communication and client service
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-centered environment
- Comfort with the physical aspects of veterinary practice, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
