Veterinarians are supported by an experienced team of technicians, veterinary assistants and client care professionals, with a strong staff-to-doctor ratio helping maintain efficient workflows and allowing doctors to focus on medicine.

The Opportunity

As an Associate Veterinarian, you'll manage a broad general practice caseload while working alongside an experienced clinical team.

Responsibilities will include:

•Providing comprehensive wellness and preventative care
•Diagnosing and managing medical conditions
•Developing individualized treatment plans
•Performing routine soft tissue surgery
•Providing comprehensive dental care
•Interpreting digital radiographs and diagnostic results
•Utilizing ultrasound where appropriate
•Managing selected urgent care presentations
•Providing care for avian and exotic patients depending on experience and interest
•Managing chronic and senior pet conditions
•Educating clients on preventative healthcare and treatment options
•Maintaining accurate medical records
•Collaborating closely with technicians and veterinary assistants
•Participating in case discussions and supporting hospital clinical standards

Doctors interested primarily in canine and feline medicine can maintain a traditional small animal caseload, while those with an interest in avian or exotic medicine will have opportunities to develop this area further.

Requirements

•DVM/VMD or equivalent veterinary qualification
•Texas veterinary license or eligibility to obtain
•DEA registration or eligibility
•Eligibility to work in the United States
•Previous clinical experience preferred
•Competency in general medicine, dentistry and routine surgery
•Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
•Excellent client communication
•Collaborative and team-focused approach

Experience with avian or exotic patients would be advantageous but is not essential.
