This is an exciting opportunity to join a modern, privately owned practice that has experienced consistent growth since opening seven years ago. The Opportunity

We're looking for a veterinarian with a minimum of two years' experience who is confident in both general practice medicine and routine soft tissue surgery. The successful candidate will play an integral role in developing the surgical caseload while working alongside an experienced veterinarian who focuses primarily on dentistry and preventative medicine.

The practice is seeking someone who enjoys building client relationships, providing high-quality medicine, and taking ownership of surgical cases within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Surgical Caseload

You'll have the opportunity to perform a varied range of procedures including:

  • Routine spays and neuters
  • Mass removals
  • Caesarean sections
  • Cherry eye repairs
  • Laceration repairs
  • Umbilical hernia repairs
  • Aural hematoma repairs
  • General soft tissue surgery
  • Primary care consultations and medical work-ups

The long-term goal is to establish dedicated surgery days, allowing you to develop your surgical interests while maintaining a balanced GP caseload.

The Practice

This purpose-built practice has been serving the local community for seven years and has built a rapidly growing client base, creating the need for an additional veterinarian.

You'll be joining a close-knit team consisting of:

  • 1 Veterinarian (focused on dentistry and primary care)
  • 2 Veterinary Technicians, due to increase (be involved with the hiring process)
  • Dedicated Client Care/Reception support

Appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes, allowing time to deliver thorough medicine without feeling rushed. Daily caseloads typically range between 15 and 25 appointments, providing an excellent balance between quality care and productivity.

The clinic is fully equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical facilities including:

  • Digital radiography
  • Comprehensive dental equipment
  • -house laboratory
  • Fully equipped surgical suite
  • Modern anaesthetic and monitoring equipment
  • AI-assisted SOAP note technology to reduce administrative workload

With no out-of-hours commitments and no multi-site working, you'll enjoy genuine work-life balance while practising high-quality medicine.

Schedule

  • Full-time preferred (flexibility available)
  • Tuesday to Saturday
  • 10:00am 6:00pm
  • No after-hours
  • No on-call
  • *Flexible working discussions welcomed

Package

  • $125,000 $175,000 base salary
  • Flexible salary/profit-share structure
  • Significant profit-sharing opportunity
  • cense fees covered
  • Continuing Education support (available upon request)
  • Healthcare stipend
  • exible PTO (starting from two weeks)
  • Potential for additional benefits depending on candidate requirements

Requirements

  • Full valid veterinary license in good standing for the State of NJ
  • At least 2 years experience as a minimum
  • Surgical expereince is a MUST
