Veterinarian - Small Animal & Exotics | Hudson Valley, NY

A thriving six-doctor veterinary hospital in Newburgh is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its small animal general practice team.

The Opportunity

This full-service general practice provides comprehensive small animal care, with opportunities to see occasional local wildlife cases, and the chance to see avian and exotic cases if interested (but not expected).

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Delivering high-quality preventive care, wellness exams, sick visits, and chronic disease management
• Performing soft tissue surgery, dental procedures, and rehabilitative care
• Utilizing advanced diagnostic tools including digital radiography, ultrasound, CT imaging, and in-water treadmill therapy
• Collaborating with doctors skilled in advanced surgery and dentistry, orthopedic procedures, veterinary acupuncture, and avian and exotics medicine
• Growing clinically through hands-on mentorship and ongoing training in a supportive, team-oriented environment

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited institution (or equivalent)
• Active New York veterinary license (or eligibility)
• Experience in small animal medicine
• Surgical and dental proficiency - or strong desire to further develop these skills

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive ProSal compensation with base salary ranging from $120,000 - $160,000, plus production (earning potential exceeding $200,000+)
• Sign-on bonus available for experienced candidates
