Veterinarian Medical Director

Global Talent Partners is excited to present an opportunity for an experienced Veterinarian to step into a Veterinary Medical Director position with an established companion animal hospital in Austin, Texas.

This is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian looking to combine hands-on clinical medicine with leadership, mentorship and hospital development. You'll remain actively involved in patient care while helping maintain medical standards, develop the veterinary team and shape the continued growth of the hospital.

This established full-service companion animal hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats within a modern clinical environment designed around patient comfort and efficient workflows.

•Wellness and preventative medicine
•Comprehensive physical examinations
•Vaccinations and parasite prevention
•Internal medicine
•Diagnostic imaging
•Complete in-house laboratory diagnostics
•Comprehensive dentistry
•Soft tissue surgery

•Senior pet medicine

The hospital also features separate entrances for canine and feline patients, helping create a calmer experience for pets and their owners.
Modern diagnostics and an experienced clinical team allow doctors to manage cases from initial examination and diagnosis through treatment and follow-up, while maintaining strong continuity of care.

The Opportunity
As Veterinary Medical Director, you'll maintain an active clinical caseload while providing leadership and support across the hospital.

Key areas of responsibility include:
•Lead and mentor the veterinary team
•Maintain high medical and patient care standards
•Support clinical protocols and best practices
•Encourage collaborative case discussion
•Support veterinarian and staff development
•Assist with recruiting, developing and retaining clinical talent
•Promote a positive and collaborative hospital culture
•Identify opportunities to improve clinical workflows
•Partner with practice leadership on hospital development
•Support strategic priorities and continued growth
•Maintain an active medical and surgical caseload
•Provide clinical guidance on more complex cases
•Build strong relationships with clients and patients

This position would suit an established leader or an experienced veterinarian ready to take the next step into formal clinical leadership.
