Medical Director Veterinarian

Global Talent Partners is excited to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced Veterinarian to join a well-established companion animal hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, as Medical Director.

This position combines hands-on clinical medicine with genuine leadership responsibility. You'll have the opportunity to shape medical standards, mentor fellow veterinarians and support the continued development of the hospital while benefiting from a flexible three- or four-day working week.

The Medical Director Opportunity

As Medical Director, you'll remain actively involved in clinical practice while helping guide medical standards and support the wider veterinary team.

Your responsibilities will include:
•Providing high-quality medical and surgical care
•Managing a varied companion animal caseload
•Performing general surgery and dentistry
•Supporting veterinarians with challenging cases
•Overseeing clinical standards and medical protocols
•Supporting efficient case flow from admission through discharge
•Mentoring and developing veterinary team members
•Encouraging collaborative case discussions
•Promoting consistent, evidence-based medicine
•Partnering with hospital management on clinical priorities
•Supporting staffing and quality improvement initiatives
•Maintaining appropriate medical record standards
•Ensuring pharmacy and controlled substance compliance
•Helping build a positive, accountable and supportive hospital culture

This is an opportunity to have a meaningful influence on how medicine is delivered while continuing to see your own patients and remain hands-on clinically.

You'll also have the flexibility to pursue individual interests in areas such as surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, diagnostic imaging or pain management.
