The Hospital
This is a busy, well-established emergency and specialty hospital providing round-the-clock care every day of the year. The team includes experienced clinicians and board-certified specialists across internal medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, oncology and rehabilitation/physical therapy, supported by dedicated client service and administrative staff. On-site diagnostics and imaging include MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound and endoscopy. Emergency and ICU capabilities include continuous ECG/telemetry, pulse oximetry, blood-gas analysis, oxygen support and transfusion therapy. The hospital maintains a collaborative culture, works closely with local referring practices and provides skilled technician coverage for overnight and after-hours care.

The Role
- Provide overnight emergency and critical care, including triage, stabilization, diagnostics and treatment
- Manage ICU cases with continuous monitoring and supportive care
- Utilize on-site imaging and diagnostics to guide case management
- Collaborate with specialty services to coordinate advanced treatment plans
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners and referring veterinarians
- Support and mentor technical teams to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care
- Participate in hospital protocols, quality improvement and case reviews

Requirements
- DVM/VMD or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Current Hawaii veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior emergency experience or internship training preferred; strong new graduates with ER interest are encouraged to apply
