The Role
- Deliver high-quality emergency and urgent care during daytime shifts, ensuring continuity with the after-hours team
- Perform comprehensive exams, stabilization, diagnostics, and emergency procedures
- Conduct on-site diagnostic testing and imaging; perform urgent surgeries as appropriate
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients in high-stress situations
- Collaborate with technicians and leadership to support efficient patient flow and excellent medical standards
- Maintain accurate medical records and uphold controlled substance protocols
- Participate in rounds, quality improvement, and staff training to strengthen hospital operations

Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an accredited institution
- Eligibility for, or current, Tennessee veterinary license
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Emergency/urgent care experience preferred; strong diagnostic and surgical skills desired
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and client education abilities
- Comfort with the physical aspects of ER work, including safe lifting up to 50 pounds
