A well-established, independently owned small animal hospital near Maryville, TN is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its growing team.

This is an opportunity to join a fully private, owner-led practice with an established client base and diary already available, providing an excellent platform for a new Associate to build a strong caseload and earning potential from the outset.

Strong Earning Potential

The practice is offering a negotiable base salary of $120,000+ for full-time veterinarians, alongside a 20% production structure.

With an established diary and loyal client base already in place, there is significant scope for a motivated veterinarian to increase their overall income through production.

The package includes:

$120,000+ base salary negotiable depending on experience
20% production, providing additional earning potential

• Established client base and diary already available

• Part-time opportunities also available from approximately 2.53 days per week
• Standard full-time contract of 4.5 days per week
• No weekends
• No emergency or on-call responsibilities

Typical working hours of approximately 8:30 AM5:00 PM, with a one-hour lunch
Wednesday hours of 8:00 AM12:00 PM

A Different Kind of Veterinary Practice

The hospital was established from scratch approximately seven years ago and has continued to grow successfully.

It is a modern, fully private facility with a strong focus on Fear Free care.

Rather than a traditional high-volume clinical environment, the team has created a relaxed setting where veterinarians are given the time to provide high-quality medicine and build meaningful relationships with their clients.

The practice typically aims for around 1015 patients per veterinarian per day, with appointments not driven by rigid 15- or 30-minute time slots.

The facility includes:

• Dedicated surgical suite
• Dedicated dental room
• Digital medical records
• Digital radiography
• Ultrasound
• Laser therapy
• Modern diagnostic equipment
• Dedicated space for dentistry and routine soft-tissue surgery

There is the opportunity to perform at least one full day of surgery each week, with additional surgical time available for a veterinarian who particularly enjoys surgery.

Clinical Caseload

This is predominantly a small animal GP caseload, with opportunities to work across:

• Preventative medicine
• Internal medicine
• Dentistry
• Soft-tissue surgery
• Routine spays, neuters and mass removals
• Diagnostic imaging
• Occasional wildlife rescue cases

Orthopedic surgery is not currently performed, allowing the focus to remain on high-quality general practice and soft-tissue procedures.

Supportive Team & Mentorship

You will initially work closely alongside the owner, with the level of independence increasing as you become comfortable.

The practice employs approximately 10 team members and has demonstrated a strong commitment to staff development.

Several team members have been with the hospital for around five years, and the practice has supported employees through veterinary technician school.

The practice is also open to confident new graduates, with the owner prepared to provide hands-on mentorship and support until they feel comfortable working independently.

Experienced veterinarians are encouraged to bring their own clinical interests and develop the role around the areas of medicine they particularly enjoy.
