The Role
- Set and uphold medical standards, protocols, and quality initiatives
- Lead, mentor, and develop veterinarians, technicians, and client service teams
- Balance appointment-based medicine with surgery and procedural work
- Provide case consultation, support complex case management, and champion continuity of care
- Collaborate on scheduling, workflow optimization, and hospital operations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (state, DEA, OSHA)
- Partner in inventory, formulary, and equipment planning aligned with clinical goals

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Current California veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Strong clinical foundation; previous leadership or mentorship experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-first approach
- Willingness to support some evening and weekend coverage
