The Role
- Provide medical leadership, set clinical standards, and champion quality improvement
- Mentor and support veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to grow skills and confidence
- Maintain a hands-on clinical caseload, including preventive care, internal medicine, general surgery, and dentistry
- Guide diagnostic and treatment plans utilizing in-house imaging and monitoring capabilities
- Partner with the hospital manager on operations, scheduling, and client service initiatives
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and maintain high standards of medical recordkeeping
- Lead client communication standards and community outreach to strengthen practice relationships
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of clinical team members
- Full-time schedule aligned with weekday day shifts and a shared, limited Saturday rotation

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- License to practice veterinary medicine in Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Several years of small animal clinical experience; prior leadership or lead-doctor experience preferred
- Proficiency in general surgery and dentistry; comfort with radiography and ultrasound in case workups
- Exceptional client communication skills and a collaborative leadership style
