The Role
- Set and uphold medical standards, protocols, and quality metrics across the hospital
- Lead, mentor, and develop veterinarians and support staff; foster a culture of learning, accountability, and teamwork
- Maintain an engaging clinical caseload while allocating protected time for leadership duties
- Guide case management and collaborate on complex cases, including coordination with visiting specialists
- Partner with practice management on scheduling, workflow optimization, inventory, and client service initiatives
- Champion AAHA standards, patient safety, and clear medical communication with clients and the team
- Support community engagement and positive hospital reputation within the local area

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- License to practice veterinary medicine in Colorado (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Proven clinical experience in small animal medicine and surgery; prior leadership or mentoring experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication, team-building, and client service skills
- Comfort working some Saturdays as part of a community-focused schedule
