Global Talent Partners is excited to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced Veterinarian to join a well-established small animal hospital in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont as Medical Director.

This position offers the opportunity to combine hands-on clinical medicine with meaningful leadership, mentoring and team development. You'll remain actively involved in patient care while helping shape medical standards, support fellow veterinarians and build a positive, collaborative hospital culture.

The Medical Director works alongside veterinarians supported by skilled veterinary technicians, assistants, client service professionals and experienced practice management.

The Leadership Opportunity

As Medical Director, you'll remain primarily clinically focused while providing leadership and guidance across the veterinary team.
Responsibilities will include:

•Delivering high-quality medical, surgical and dental care
•Setting and maintaining excellent clinical standards
•Mentoring and coaching associate veterinarians
•Supporting early-career veterinarians with clinical development
•Leading doctor meetings and collaborative case discussions
•Reviewing and developing medical protocols
•Promoting consistent, evidence-based medicine
•Supporting continuous quality improvement
•Partnering with practice management on scheduling and workflow
•Encouraging effective technician utilization
•Supporting recruitment, interviewing and onboarding of veterinarians
•Overseeing appropriate use and maintenance of medical equipment
•Supporting controlled substance and radiation safety compliance
•Promoting strong client communication and medical record standards
•Helping create a positive, supportive and accountable team culture

•Compensation up to $155,000, depending on experience
