The Role
- Full-time, hospital-based working manager serving as the medical leader for assigned local hospitals, with scheduled clinical time
- Lead, coach, and develop associate veterinarians to deliver consistent, high-quality, patient- and client-centered care
- Partner with practice managers to achieve clinical and operational goals, access-to-care targets, and client experience outcomes
- Oversee onboarding and mentorship programs for new doctors; support growth in general practice, surgery, and dentistry
- Conduct medical record reviews, quality audits, and patient safety reviews; guide improvements and close identified gaps
- Serve as the responsible veterinarian for applicable permits and compliance; oversee controlled substance management
- Participate in recruiting and interviewing veterinarians; provide a positive experience for candidates, students, and externs
- Support workflow optimization, including use of drop-off services and interpretation resources
- Maintain medical equipment standards and coordinate repair/replacement requests
- Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations, including radiation safety and pharmacy requirements
- Occasional local travel between assigned hospitals within the Henderson area

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited veterinary program
- Active Nevada veterinary license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Current DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain promptly)
- Strong clinical proficiency in general practice, including routine surgery and dentistry
- Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring or managing veterinarians preferred
- Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills
- Comfortable with digital medical records, imaging, and in-house lab systems
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Ability to work full-time, including some weekend or holiday coverage as needed
- Valid driver license and ability to travel locally between nearby hospitals
