The Role
- Full-time leadership position overseeing and developing associate veterinarians across assigned hospitals in the local area, including the Sugar Hill location
- Champion a culture of quality and patient safety; ensure consistent standards of care and positive client experiences
- Conduct regular hospital visits and quality reviews; support compliance with state and federal regulations, including controlled substance and radiation safety
- Recruit, onboard, mentor, and coach associate and locum veterinarians; implement engagement and retention strategies
- Guide clinical quality, client communication, efficiency, and case management among DVM teams
- Partner with practice leadership to manage medical equipment maintenance, calibration, and inventory
- Support a broad GP caseload: wellness, vaccinations, dentistry, general surgery (spay/neuter), diagnostics, and small/exotic mammals as comfortable
- Maintain limited clinical hours to model best practices and support hospital flow as needed

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited veterinary program
- Active Georgia veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start)
- Eligibility for DEA registration
- Proven skills in general practice, dentistry, and routine soft-tissue surgery
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and communication abilities
- Comfort working with dogs and cats; experience with small/exotic mammals is a plus
- Authorization to work in the United States
