The Role
- Lead clinical quality, client experience, and team engagement across assigned locations while practicing as a primary clinician
- Balance approximately 20-30 percent leadership with 70-80 percent clinical duties, adjusted to hospital needs
- Mentor, coach, and develop associate veterinarians and paraprofessionals; support onboarding and ongoing training
- Partner with the practice manager on scheduling, workflow, and resource planning to ensure efficiency and a positive culture
- Oversee medical record standards, compliance, and safety protocols
- Deliver comprehensive general practice care, including wellness and preventive medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, and routine soft-tissue surgery
- Guide daily caseload management, delegate effectively, and help resolve client concerns with empathy and clarity
- Support occasional market-level initiatives and collaboration within the local area

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active South Carolina veterinary license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- DEA registration (or eligibility)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Proven clinical proficiency in general practice, dentistry, and routine surgery
- Prior leadership experience preferred, with strength in coaching, communication, and client education
- Comfort with a schedule that includes some early mornings and weekends
- Commitment to high medical standards, teamwork, and a positive, inclusive workplace
