The Role
- Full-time leadership position guiding associate veterinarians across assigned hospitals to deliver consistent, high-quality care
- Conduct regular hospital visits, quality reviews and coaching to elevate medical standards and client experience
- Recruit, onboard and mentor new doctors; develop future leaders and strengthen team engagement and retention
- Partner with hospital leadership to drive medical quality, efficiency and client-centered service
- Oversee medical equipment needs, maintenance and calibration in coordination with operations
- Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal regulations, including controlled substances and radiation safety
- Support a well-defined team structure that optimizes patient flow and leverages technician and client service roles
- Maintain clinical proficiency, including routine surgery and dentistry, and model best practices on the floor as needed
- Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends; travel between assigned hospitals within the area

Requirements
- DVM or VMD from an accredited institution
- Active Illinois veterinary license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience in a multi-doctor setting
- Proficiency in routine soft-tissue surgery and dentistry
- Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel between assigned hospitals in the local area and work a flexible schedule
