The Role
- Full-time Area Chief of Staff position blending leadership and clinical practice
- Lead approximately 20–30% of the time; practice clinically approximately 70–80% of the time
- Guide medical quality and client service standards; model best practices across the team
- Coach, mentor, and develop veterinarians and support staff; foster a positive, collaborative culture
- Partner with hospital leadership on scheduling, workflow, training, and continuous improvement
- Perform comprehensive exams, diagnostics, dentistry, routine surgeries, and preventive care
- Develop clear treatment plans and communicate effectively with clients and the team
- Ensure accurate, thorough medical records and uphold safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance
- Contribute to hospital planning and performance goals while maintaining high standards of care

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Current license to practice (or ability to obtain) in South Carolina
- Eligibility for DEA licensure
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Proven clinical proficiency in general practice; surgical and dental experience preferred
- Prior leadership experience strongly preferred, with ability to mentor and develop teams
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and commitment to high-quality, AAHA-level care
- Availability to support limited weekend hours as part of a shared schedule
