- Daytime hours with Saturday coverage; occasional extended hours based on client needs

The Role
- Provide medical leadership across assigned local hospitals, partnering closely with practice management to drive culture, team engagement, and consistent medical standards
- Balance leadership with clinical duties as a working manager in hospital settings
- Mentor, coach, and develop associate veterinarians, including new graduates, to build surgical, dental, and medical competencies
- Validate clinical quality through medical record reviews, case audits, and safety event follow-ups; implement action plans where needed
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including controlled substances and radiation safety
- Support recruitment, host externs and observers, and serve as a visible ambassador to the local veterinary community
- Champion preventive and comprehensive care, client education, and a positive client experience
- Oversee medical equipment needs and collaborate on hospital operational goals
- Full-time schedule; includes daytime hours with Saturday rotation and occasional extended hours based on caseload

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active Florida veterinary license (or eligibility to obtain promptly)
- DEA license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop veterinary teams
- Competence in general medicine, dentistry, and basic surgery
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Comfort working some Saturdays and traveling locally between assigned hospitals as needed
