The Role
- Full-time Chief of Staff veterinarian responsible for clinical leadership and hospital performance
- Blend of duties typically encompassing approximately 20-30 percent leadership and 70-80 percent clinical care, adjusted to hospital needs
- Set and uphold medical quality standards, client service expectations, and a positive, inclusive team culture
- Mentor, coach, and support associate veterinarians and paraprofessionals; foster continuous development
- Partner with the practice manager on scheduling, workflow optimization, and operational efficiency
- Lead by example in preventive care, diagnostics, anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, treatment planning, and client communication
- Utilize on-site diagnostics and pharmacy services to deliver timely, evidence-based care
- Ensure accurate medical records, patient safety, and regulatory compliance

Requirements
- DVM or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Active license to practice veterinary medicine in South Carolina, or eligibility to obtain
- DEA registration or eligibility
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Proven experience in small-animal general practice, including surgery and dentistry
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills
- Strong communication skills and commitment to client education and preventive care
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, customer-focused clinical environment
