The Role
- Serve as the Area Chief of Staff, balancing leadership (approximately 20-30%) with clinical duties (approximately 70-80%)
- Lead medical quality and client service standards, ensuring consistent, high-level care and an excellent client experience
- Mentor and develop associate veterinarians, credentialed technicians, and support staff through coaching, training, and regular feedback
- Oversee clinical workflows, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet patient demand and maintain productivity
- Guide case management: take histories, perform examinations and diagnostic workups, create and communicate treatment plans, and ensure accurate medical records
- Perform general surgery and dentistry, and oversee anesthesia and postoperative care within hospital protocols
- Promote preventive care and clear client communication for long-term pet health
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture and lead regular team huddles and meetings
- Support occasional collaboration with nearby teams as needed

Requirements
- DVM/VMD degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
- Active or eligibility for North Carolina veterinary license
- Eligibility to work in the United States
- Proven clinical experience in small-animal medicine and surgery, including dentistry
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor, coach, and build teams
- Strong communicator with commitment to client education and exemplary medical records
- DEA registration (or eligibility)
